Fire Door
Materials: Brushed SSTL, 3/4" thick tempered glass, Dorma pull
As part of my application process to Amuneal, I designed the custom wall as three separate door and transom window assemblies so that each part of the wall could be carried through a finished door way. In addition, the door hinge detail is completely custom, consisting of a shoulder pin welded to the door and captured in the transom with a removable plate allowing for easy installation.

As a project manager in the engineered hardware divison at JE Berkowitz, I had to be able to balance the architect's vision for a project with the engineering requirements as well as the fabrication capabilities of our shop while maintaining the quoted budget and time frame for the project. Among the many aspects of my role as a project manager, I created the the shop drawings using AutoCAD for the Architect's approval and production, as well as ordered hardware and coordinated delivery of the canopy's components to our customer.
